Terminal access help
Locked out or can't sign in? Work through this. Everything else lives in the member terminal's Help Center once you are in.
Sign in to the Member Terminal
The terminal signs in with your Discord account - no separate password. If sign-in bounces you, you are missing a member role or your session went stale.
Do this
- Go to the terminal and choose sign in. It sends you to Discord to authorize.
- Approve the Discord prompt. You land back in the terminal signed in - there is no PTF password to remember.
- If you are sent to a sign-in screen that explains your membership could not be found, use the manual Sign in with Discord button there.
- First time in, accept the terms when the terminal asks - the gate blocks the rest of the terminal until you do.
How it works
The terminal has no account system of its own. Discord is your identity: when you authorize, PTF reads the roles you hold in the PTF server and grants exactly the pages those roles carry. That is why sign-in can only work if you are in the PTF Discord with a member role. Your sign-in is cached briefly, so a fresh authorization takes effect right away.
Details and exceptions
- If you left the PTF server or lost your roles, sign-in will let you into Discord but the terminal will have nothing to show you.
- A crafted return link cannot bounce you off-site after login - the terminal only follows same-site destinations.
